This is Buckhead, Atlanta's affluent neighborhood. Shown in the image are the two most important areas of Buckhead--the East Village and the West Village. The East Village has many interesting shops to explore but is known for its collection of nightclubs. The West Village has even more shops, restaurants, and salons to visit. The Atlanta History Center is a few blocks away from the West Village. |

This is a shot of the historic Atlanta map. Many of Atlanta's oldest buildings are in and around the Fairlie-Poplar district. An interesting site to visit is Underground Atlanta; when viaducts were built over the railroad tracks running through Atlanta, the first floors of many building were left below street level and abandoned. The area is now filled with shops and restaurants. |
